Hello - we are Naturfoto-Online

Naturfoto-Online was founded in October 1999 by Lutz Gerken and Stefan Ernst. What began as a joint project between two nature photographers quickly developed into a picture agency with a constantly growing network of photographers. For over two decades, images on nature and environmental topics were sold to publishers, environmental organizations and companies worldwide.

In 2018, the agency had to close unexpectedly for health reasons. A successful project came to a temporary end with this sudden interruption. But the passion for nature photography remained.

To mark its 25th anniversary, Naturfoto-Online is now returning in a new form. This time, the focus is no longer on selling pictures, but on the joy of photography itself. The fascination of capturing and sharing moments in nature remains the central concern. The idea of the environment will also play a greater role - because nature and environmental protection are more relevant than ever today. With our pictures, we not only want to show the beauty of nature, but also draw attention to its vulnerability.

The photo archive will be added to gradually - not all photos are online yet. And who knows, perhaps nature photographers will join us again who would like to present their pictures here.
